Five days. Five whole days until my dream can officially come true. The dresses, the makeup, the stage, the lights, the friends, the fun! 5 days until myself and my family take off from the Saskatoon airport, and land in Toronto for 8 days.

That being said, I have been super busy packing all of my finest wardrobe pieces to show off for the week! My favourite outfit is my evening gown! I won’t go into detail about it because I want it to be a surprise, but its full of sparkles and diamonds and my favourite color in the whole world! However, i am most excited for the talent competition. For the talent competition i will be performing my musical theatre/open solo from my previous dance year. It was definitely my all time favourite solo i have ever done.

Being from such a small town I have been amazed by all the overwhelming support from friends, family, as well as surrounding communities. Some of my biggest supporters that have been by my side since day one are obviously my family, as well as my boyfriend Evan. They have helped me with everything from packing my clothes, getting me tools to help better myself and my performance for the pageant, and really helping me believe in myself. Having their support as well as everyone else’s has truly made my heart flutter and I will be forever grateful for everyone else who has been by my side and cheering me on!

Excited for my first dance competition!

On May 24th, 2000, I was born into the most loving family in the world. Growing up, my favourite activity was dancing. At the current age of 19, I have danced a whole 16 years- 14 of them being highly competitive, and one year, (which was my last year) of being the head coach/trainer for my hometowns dance company. The very company I started my career with when I was just 3 years old. In my years of dancing I have studied tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, pointe, and musical theatre. As well as taking all of my tap exam classes, and ballet exam classes up to advanced 2. Dancing has taught me dedication, perseverance, and discipline as well as many other things in life and i am forever grateful for.

Throughout my dancing career i also picked up in modelling off and on throughout elementary and high school. Something about the environment of modelling and dancing caught my eye, and i truly loved it and did not want to do anything else. That being said, I was also always drawn to pageants ever since I was little. The continuous Tuesday evening, “Toddlers and Tiaras” was my life. I grabbed my 7 year-old self a bowl of popcorn and some other snacks and sat on the couch for hours on end!

Some things that I am really excited for coming up in my future is obviously the Miss World Pageant, but also my first year of college in the fall! I have been accepted into Medicine Hat College for Criminal Justice and forensic investigations. I have always had a very big interest in policing as my dad was a cop, my uncle currently still is a cop, and my grandpa is a retired RCMP veteran. Also, helping people and trying to better a community should be something everyone should be able to do. In my case, I want to take it to a whole other level, keeping the bad people off of the street so the good people can have a eased mind and feel safe where they have chose to make a home. My long term goal is to ultimately branch out into the K9 department with a city police unit. I have always had a strong love and connection to animals and that has helped me decide that the K9 unit would be the perfect match for myself.

I had always dreamed about being in a pageant, but with dance 5 days a week- I never really had time for anything else. When I came across the Miss World Canada’s ad about applying for Miss World 2019, I couldn’t not. Through lots of waiting and hard work, I am PROUD to be able to introduce myself as “Miss Saskatchewan World 2019!” Thank you everyone for your support so far! I cannot wait to see where this journey will take me!
