I’m Calyssa, your Miss South-Central Saskatchewan 2018! I am beyond excited to be one of the representatives for Saskatchewan at the Miss World Canada pageant in July! As this is my first blog post of the year, let me share some info and pictures of myself so you can get to know me a little better! 🙂
I am 19 years old, originally born in Calgary AB but currently living in Whitecap SK. I just recently completed my second year of kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan. After I finish my kin degree I hope to go into physiotherapy to become a sports therapist. I like to stay busy and live very day to the fullest, so I am always running around with something to do. Most times it’s to be a student trainer for the Huskie basketball/football team, or the S.W.A.T. lacrosse teams. Sometimes it’s volunteering for various organizations around the city, other times it’s going to one of my 3 jobs.
When I am able to find time in my busy schedule for a break I love to travel back home to Calgary so I can visit my siblings. I have 2 sisters (1 older and 1 younger) and a little baby brother. They all mean the absolute most to me and I don’t know where I would be without them!
Aren’t they just the sweetest! <3
Family is my number one priority in life and I truly value each and every one of my family members. I am so thankful for all of their support with everything I do, especially this new adventure into pageants! The key to all success is a strong foundation to grow from!
Here is just a small portion of my support system! <3
My biggest supporter in the world is definitely my Mom! She never fails to light the fire within me any time it starts to dim. She has never missed a show, competition or event, she can always be found in the crowd smiling back at me! Sooooo thankful!
Thank you mom, for all that you do!
My favourite way to stay in shape is being a cheerleader! I have been a cheerleader since graduating high school and I am looking forward to my 3rd season this year! I love how demanding it is on muscles you didn’t even know you had.
Check out the PJFL schedule and come down to SMF field to catch a game sometime, Go Hilltops!
Recently my days have consisted of making plans and contacts to build a strong foundation for my upcoming year in reign. I have been having a great time contacting companies for sponsorship and looking at all the events coming up in Saskatoon that I can attend! Who knew holding a title would be so fun! The closer we get to nationals the more excited I get!
That’s all for now folks! Thanks for your continuous support!
Until next time;
